Operations & Client Service Specialist
First Manhattan is seeking a motivated, experienced professional to work in an internally facing Client Service/Operations team.
Qualifications:
Series 99/Series 7 license preferred. The ideal candidate will hold an undergraduate degree and has 2+ years of relevant experience supporting traditional brokerage processes, including new account onboarding, asset movements, margin etc. Candidate is expected to work autonomously and have a strong grasp of the Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Word, etc. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and Pershing a plus. Successful candidates are intellectually curious with keen attention to detail and a deep understanding of the processes they support and the impact each process has on other components of the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Account Onboarding – Oversee client onboarding, review account opening requests for compliance with firm policies and procedures. Includes review of data accuracy, completeness, supporting documentation, etc.
- Risk Management – Knowledge of AML/KYC, regulatory documentation requirements for account onboarding and maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with Operations team members and portfolio management teams to ensure accurate and timely handling of account onboarding and maintenance requests.
- Participate in and drive collaborative efforts with Technology, Supervision and Compliance departments with respect to ongoing process improvements and system enhancements.
- Provide guidance and education to members of the portfolio management teams regarding onboarding and maintenance procedures.
- Responsible for the maintenance of client records across internal applications.
- Knowledge of asset movement processing and other operations-related activities are preferred.
Compensation:
Compensation will be competitive. The salary range is $85 - $105k. There will be a discretionary year-end bonus offered as well.
