The Firm is seeking a Portfolio Associate to join a busy, growing book of business.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of relevant Portfolio Associate experience and will work collaboratively with the entire team under the team's Chief Operating Officer. Must have Series 7 and 63 licenses within 3 months of hire. Ideally the candidate is already licensed.

This role operates as part of a larger team of ten, including five Portfolio Managers, two CFP® professionals and three other Portfolio Associates. True intellectual curiosity, organizational skills and attention to detail is critical in this role, paired with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude. Must be able to work well in a team environment with shared responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong client skills required; frequent phone and in-person client interactions
  • Candidate will share administrative functions with the other Portfolio Associates
  • Functions include opening new client accounts, preparing investment reports, and assisting in trading
  • Foster client relationships with prompt attention to service requests from existing clients (e.g., distribution requests, name changes, address changes, etc.)
  • Prepare client reporting on an ongoing basis

Competencies:

  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience as a Portfolio Associate in related asset or investment firm
  • Strong problem solver. Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner with minimal direction.
  • Able to raise problems quickly or admit errors and resolve quickly if needed
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, change plans as workload dictates, and multitask
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel - ability to learn new software systems required
  • Strong organizational skills required and ability to work with teams broadly across the Firm
  • Detail-oriented and operate across different departments internally
  • Must be an independent thinker, able to take initiative, and have confidence
  • The right candidate will be approachable to clients and internal constituents

Hours:

40 hours per week with overtime as needed

Compensation will be competitive. The salary range is $85 - $105. There will be a discretionary year-end bonus offered as well.
