Thomas Kennedy is a Managing Director and the Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining First Manhattan in 2020, he was the Chief Compliance Officer at Bessemer Investment Management LLC and the Director of Compliance at Bessemer Trust, NA. Before that, he was the Chief Compliance Officer at Arden Asset Management and was the Head of Alternatives Compliance during the integration of Arden with Aberdeen Asset Management. Earlier in his career, he held senior compliance roles at Citigroup.

Tom holds a JD from St. John’s University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude, and a BA from Iona College. He lives in Rockville Centre, New York, with his wife and two children.
