Edward Beddow is a Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager based in Jackson, Wyoming. He brings nearly four decades of experience advising individuals and families. Prior to joining First Manhattan in 2026, he served as Founder and President of Beddow Capital Management.
Ed began his career in investment banking at Dean Witter & Co., where he gained experience in public and private financings, valuation analysis, and merger and acquisition transactions. In 1987, he transitioned to investment management and has focused exclusively on portfolio management since that time.
Ed earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He served five years as a military officer in West Germany and the United States. He is a member of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Colorado, and the Investment Advisor Association.
