Kenya Henderson is a Senior Managing Director, the Chief Marketing Officer, and a member of First Manhattan's Management Committee. She has 25 years of experience in marketing, brand strategy, content development, public relations, and strategic communications. She also has expertise in building new marketing and communications functions at financial services companies from the ground up.
Prior to joining First Manhattan in 2018, Kenya was a Global Group Manager for Marketing & Communications at The Bank of New York Mellon. Previously, she was the Global Head of Sales Marketing and Chief of Staff to the Chief Commercial Officer at S&P Global Ratings. Earlier in her career, she was a Book Publicist for financial and business books at McGraw-Hill and at Rutgers University Press.
For over 15 years, Kenya has led leadership initiatives designed to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. She is a founding member of First Manhattan's Women's Network and a member of the firm's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
Kenya holds a BA from Rutgers University and is an alumna of INROADS. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and three daughters.
